Vision Statement
Chico Christian Preschool and Infant Center envisions a Christ-centered community where children are deeply known, lovingly nurtured, and equipped to grow in faith, curiosity, and compassion.
Mission Statement
What we do every day to reach the vision:
Our mission is to partner with families and Neighborhood Church to provide a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate early learning environment grounded in biblical truth. Through loving relationships, intentional teaching, and play-based experiences, we support the spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of each child.
Core Values
How We Live Out the Mission:
1. Faith
We are Christ-centered in all we do. We believe every child is created in the image of God and worthy of dignity, compassion, and grace. Faith guides our relationships, our teaching, and the care we provide each day. We nurture children spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically through love, patience, and servant-hearted leadership.
2. Community
We believe children thrive through strong relationships and a true sense of belonging. We value partnership with families, collaboration among staff, and inclusive practices that welcome and support every child. We are proud to be part of the Chico community and believe meaningful connections with local organizations, schools, churches, and community partners strengthen the support we provide to children and families. Together, we create a caring community where children feel safe, known, encouraged, and celebrated.
3. Excellence
We are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education through professionalism, integrity, and continuous growth. We prioritize safe, developmentally appropriate practices and pursue excellence in our classrooms, communication, and leadership as we faithfully serve children and families.
Our Program
Chico Christian Preschool and Infant Center provides a thoughtfully planned, developmentally appropriate program in a safe, nurturing, and carefully supervised environment. We recognize that every child is uniquely created by God and develops at their own pace. Our teachers support each child’s individual strengths, interests, needs, and stage of development.
Children are given opportunities to learn through purposeful play, exploration, hands-on experiences, and positive interactions with teachers and peers. Our program includes music and movement, dramatic play, group sharing, children’s literature, creative art, early language and literacy, science and discovery, sensory experiences, and both indoor and outdoor play.
Faith is thoughtfully incorporated throughout each day through prayer, Bible stories, worship music, and age-appropriate biblical lessons. Children also participate in weekly chapel, where they learn about God’s love and develop an understanding of Christian values.
Each activity is intentionally planned to promote children’s physical, cognitive, social, emotional, creative, and spiritual development while making learning meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable.
